I am Rev Trevor Goddard, and I am Vicar of St Cuthbert’s North Wembley and The Annunciation South Kenton, two lovely inclusive church communities who are very committed to supporting their surrounding neighbourhoods. I have been at The Annunciation for 8 years and have just taken over as vicar of St Cuthbert’s in October 2021. St Cuthbert’s has a Daniels Den that meets every Tuesday.
I’m married to Jacqueline who is a music teacher and is very passionate about young children’s development. She has a degree in early childhood studies and has worked for central government and local authorities advising them in the development and the support of young children. I have absorbed by osmosis her passion and the understanding of the importance of ‘Sure Start’ for the crucial formative years of young pre-school children. And recognise the amazing important work that Daniels Den does in supporting our communities.
We have two older sons and two grandchildren, and we have enjoyed living in Brent for the last 40 years. Over the years we have worked together supported many young people and families. As Chaplin I am looking forward to being a real ambassador for the work and people of Daniels Den, supporting them practically and spiritually in seeking to become the best we possibly can in taking care of the families and children we have the honour to be involved with.
As we all come together in faith, as volunteers, staff, friends, families, and trustees, as a TEAM may we believe we can achieve so much more than we ever thought or imagined we could.
