Mozambique toddler group and Stand Up

On Friday October 17th our partnership with a toddler group in Lichinga, Mozambique was launched. We presented a cheque to Sheenagh Burrell who will be sending the money to Lichinga. The first project we will be involved in is the building of a 'long-drop toilet' which will mean the toddler group can officially start!!

The children, parents and carers in Daniel's Den and Lichinga  also took part in the worldwide event 'Stand Up' - 63 of us in Daniel's Den took a stand against poverty and inequality. At the same time the toddler group in Mozambique were standing up. This was the first toddler twinning stand up!!

National Parents Week 2008

This took place October 20th -26th. It was an opportunity to celebrate the work we do to encourage and strengthen families. The theme of the week was 'Getting it right for families'. It was great to welcome the local Brent Councillors to Daniel's Den in the Tokyngton Ward - thank you Peter, Mohamed and Joyce and also the Dudden Hill Ward - thank you David.
